Osprey in vertical parking mode
Meet Osprey. Designed for wind installation vessels
The Safeway Osprey type is currently under construction for large construction vessels and is soon available for purchase. The unit is self-sustained with integrated HPU and controls. The gangway only requires the hook-up from the vessel power to operate at any random position on the vessel deck. The gangway is furthermore designed with a vertical parking position minimising the amount of deck area required.
Key features Osprey

Self-containment
Powered from the vessel, Osprey operates at any given location with integrated HPU,
control cabin, staircase etc. Vertical parking ensures it doesn't require a boom rest.

34m outreach range
Allows for odd angles to landing sites and large clearance to subsea foundations preventing seabed damage caused by propeller wash.

Landing 18m above deck
Large range of landing sites can be serviced without modifications to vessel or system.

Hover mode
Great flexibility for bringing materials or liquid cargo. No forces introduced in the landing area, no gates required and landing over sea railing is no problem. Vessel is free to choose heading.

Continuous access
Accessibility continuously possible after deployment. No need to limit to batch wise transfers.

Vertical parking
Vertical parking requires less valuable deck space for W2W system (5,5m x 6m).

Operator cabin
Even in the most challenging offshore conditions, the operator cabin ensures maximum operator wellbeing.

Gangway cover
Sheltered passage to work in any weather condition and operation area, always ensuring the wellbeing of your technicians.
