Safeway Secures Major Contract with CRIST S.A. for DOF/ Cenovus Project

Safeway has secured a contract for the delivery of a Seagull Walk to Work system, The contract was signed with CRIST S.A. Poland. The CRIST S.A. shipyard received an order from  DOF for the delivery of a 110-mter MPSV vessel which is specifically designed to support operations offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Seagull gangway, renowned for its enhanced safety, efficiency, and workability, is set to redefine offshore personnel transfer standards. Designed to operate seamlessly in harsh environments, including significant wave heights of up to 5 meters, the Seagull system ensures uninterrupted operations in one of the world’s most challenging offshore fields.

Willem Amerika, Safeway’s Sales Director, highlighted the unique challenges posed by the Newfoundland offshore: “The vessel’s operational area is unique and highly challenging because of harsh weather conditions and very high sea states.”
